Fix metal defect?

Hi All. I just received my Model 3 (obsidian), and found a raised defect under the paint, at the edge where the bumper meets the frunk. It sort of looks as if I had done a poor soldering job and it’s a little lumpy now (this edge has no reason to get soldered, but that’s the best way I can describe the appearance). I was debating about having Tesla fix this. I am concerned that paint protection film won’t lie down well on that edge and might even make it look more obvious. If I wasn’t planning on the Xpel, I’d be less concerned.

I’ve been told by a knowledgeable person that in general, fixing a problem like this where sanding and repainting is needed can introduce new cosmetic problems in the area.

For those of you who have had Tesla do some body work like this (especially in Obsidian), how did your repairs come out?

Thanks in advance!
