fixed that for you?

I don't spend a lot of time on the internet except for work and even less time on forums or social media. I am relatively new to this forum though I had been lurking for a while before buying my TM3.

This forum is the first place I've noticed people quoting other posters, changing what they said slightly, then writing "fixed that for you" afterwards. It is generally done in a very snarky/sarcastic/condescending way and not at all trying to be helpful. Is this a common way to communicate on this board or on forums and social media in general?

Maybe someone will be funny and change this post then write "fixed that for you"...
