Fixing Monitor Yellow bands with UV??

Been waiting for a long time for a fix for the yellow bands on ‘16 X. I was told a new monitor would fix it. Now I am told they use an UV system. News to me? Any experiences with this?? Thanks!

Hi PVS,

Tesla has a machine that installs on your car for a few hours and
uses UV light to remove the yellowing...
I had mine done in December last year, it looks great.

Schedule an appointment for the "UV Screen Treatment."

I did not actually think Tesla's UV approach would work, but it did indeed fix the yellow border on my screen.

Fixed mine and it's held up nicely in the L.A. sun for over 8 months now

Mine just went in service today for this UV treatment, along with some other stuff. Was told it'll take 2.5hr for the UV treatment.

Yeah it works great for the big screen. Waiting for them to come up with a rig to do the same for ICD.

I had my main screen "fixed" by Service Center. They kept it overnight. Now my instrument cluster is doing the same, so I'll have to schedule again hopefully when COVID-19 winds down.

Last time I checked, no one has made the tool to fix the ICD.
