After updating to 2021.40.6, I’ve noticed the charge port door often closes immediately when I start to withdraw the charger cord, or sometimes opens and immediately closes when I click the button on the HPWC. Anyone else seeing this?

Same here with 2021.40.6. So far only seeing the instant close with unplugging.

Charge port door requires 2 attempts to open
Recently I have to open the charge port door 2x to keep it open. First attempt and it opens, closes immediately. 2nd attempt and it says open. Happens if tapping the screen, using button on charging cable, or touching the charge port door. 2018 Model 3 LR on 2021.40.6. Is this a software...

So glad you posted this! It started right after I got my car back from a SC and I wondered if they damaged it somehow (they did the favor of charging it a little after they ran the battery down) - forgot I had an update when I got it home.

Another BMW convert
I was looking for a thread to make sure it wasn't just me. I have the exact same issue since the latest update. When I am leaving home, I press the button on the connector handle and the charge door wants to close right away - so I have to be really quick to unplug. Also, when I get home I press the button on the connector handle to open the charge port door and it opens mid-way and closes right again. I press the button again and then it works properly.

Geez. Can't win. Been on 2020.40.8 since it was released and I was going to update to 2021.40.6 when it's available to me as the USB cover art bug seems to have been fixed, and now this! Is there something about the 40th week in the year that generates these random bugs?
My speakers have also started crackling since the update mostly when I get phone calls I think.
Charge port door comes slamming down as soon as the cable is removed. Absolutely ridiculous, how did this even make it past basic quality control?

hahhahah I've been wondering why that happens.. i keep trying to figure out what the car wants me to do so that it stops. Glad its just not me looking stupid trying to make it stop
