Flocking my 3D printed center console tray

After looking at my oem center console tray the other day, the one under the armrest. This idea came to me, why not flock the 3D printed tray i printed recently, to match the look of the OEM tray? not only to finish off the 3D printed texture, but also provide a scratch resistance to the surface to prevent scratching your sunglasses or what not.

Here is how i did it.

Any chance you want to make a large water bottle holder for that center console area? I wish they made those adjustable set ups like they did for the S

I printed a very similar console insert before I got my Model 3 in late October. I've had the same flocking kit for almost as long. Your video inspired me. Today's the day!

How did the flocking hold up? I want to do the same but my wife worries the flocking won’t last.

Mine is still in great shape. I’ve not noticed any “shedding”. It looks like it came with the car.
