FLOORMATS - Which To Consider?

I think the mats that come with the car actually not bad at all. I only replaced them due to the harsh Canadian winter conditions, slush and snow etc.
You are right! Now that I have my actual car and the mats, they are actually very nice mats. Thick and fit well.

Wasn't paying attention to the floor mats. That was at the bottom of the list, right below "what kind of gas does this thing take"
And re: "what kind of gas..." - a sort of paradigm shift - I keep finding myself looking down at the gauge as I go past a gas station to see if I need to fill up. Then, I literally laugh out loud at this new super-cool machine I'm driving.

For a review of the LLoyd's Lux mats, see this article:

For another type of mat to consider, see this website.

I have ordered mats from here my new Tesla and have used them in the past for Mercedes. Lots of styles and colors available, and various materials. Some would hold up better in wet weather than others.
For some photos of mats installed in Teslas, see their gallery at http://www.cocomats.com/other-makes/ and scroll down to the Telsa entry.

Happy shopping, and enjoy the car!

Installed my floor mats from CocoMats.com today. For photos, see my album on flickr, here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/motherbrookman/albums/72157657353741494

And by the way, these photos nicely (I think) show how the grey upholstery looks with the red exterior.

All of your comments and suggestions regarding the floor mats have been very helpful, thanks TMC'ers.
To date, I really like the looks of the custom logo mats from ForMyTesla.com
I have spoken to Gerry, who is proprietor and he is an enthusiastic Tesla guy.

Gerry is coming out with a brushed aluminum and rubber ribbed dead pedal for the left foot and also some custom
rear hatch inserts in brushed aluminum. These look like well made products and something I will keep in mind.
Probably make a great stocking stuffer for the Tesla-holic you know and love.

BTW, David29, I had the cocoa mats in my 1973 Hemi-Powered Jensen Interceptor. There used to be a firm that advertised in Road & Track back in the day
which made them for all the various sports and GT cars, and also string backed lambskin driving gloves. (was it Heine? who sold these? BTW I still
have at least 2 sets of the gloves they are super for wheel grip on original Moto-Lita wooden steering wheels)

They were really nice, however, when you did a vacuum job, you had to lift them out
of the car as some of the fine dust would find its way through the weave. They lasted a long time. Not so good in the snow. The snow would
melt as the interior of the car warmed up and you would get a faint scent of wet hay or cocoa fibrous material. I think they are a great three
season mat in New England and the Northern states where snow is present.

Just got word from my local service center that Tesla has put a hold on the current Tesla branded all weather floor mats. The service rep said Tesla will have new mats coming out in about a month. Apparently they are still selling the frunk and trunk all weather mats though.

Updated the album with a few photos of the third row piece and the driver’s piece with a dead pedal section. The dead-pedal section is held up by hook part of hook-loop, that part of the carpet was getting a lot of wear. Maybe not the best location for the seam between second and third row section but it will reduce wear on the fixed carpet and be much easier to keep clean.
