    Well, he did say something once along the lines of "as long as we make 3D buildings and 2D roads, we'll have traffic problems". He then went on saying there were two solutions : either tunnels or... flying cars. :D

    Don't remember what the occasion was, though...o_O

    As speculated in that Electrek article, I think Rodriguez will be working on the design of the Tesla pickup truck.

    From what I read Elon wasn't interested in J B's electric plane idea. But maybe when he is on his way to Mars Randy and JB will put something together? :)

    That IS a good point. Don't forget that self-driving cars are a lot more difficult to accomplish: dense traffic, driving close to each other, 2D. Self-navigating 'flying cars' will be a lot easier to do then. Less traffic, 3D, and that sort of thing. The Icon A5 WingFold looks interesting.

    My personal theory is that Elon is teasing out a hint that a roadster mockup will be the first cargo on the Falcon Heavy. No block of cheese this time.
