FM Radio Gone in 2020.40?

I just took delivery of a Model Y on Saturday that was running 2020.38. This morning I updated to 2020.40 and the FM radio option is gone from the media player. I don’t see any mention of this in release notes or on forums. Am I missing something? Did Tesla scrap FM radio in a recent-ish update?

My M3 on 2020.44 still had it. Check that radio option is on in media settings

Mine came with 2020.40.8 and had FM. Currently on 2020.44.10.1 and still have it. Also FYI, 2020.44.x adds the option to hide different media options.

Strange. I don't think 2020.40 has the option to hide media options. Maybe I'll do a reset later and see if it comes back.

You can set which audio sources appear under settings now. FM is probably just turned off.

Have you tried a reboot to see if that brings back the missing FM radio?

Maybe, though I thought that was in 2020.44. I’m on the previous update. If the option is there, I missed it in my searching.

My radio disappeared as well after the 2020.40 in my Model Y. I have tried a soft reboot as well as the full shutdown. Neither brought back the radio option. Hiding media options is not available in 2020.40. I believe that became available in 2020.44

I am going to try the full reboot again without USB hard drive plugged in and Bluetooth disabled on phone. Not sure if that will make a difference. I also won't be charging during the reboot this time. I will post back later today.

In the meantime you might be able to stream your favorite radio station.

I picked up my car from the SC last week and when I drove away I noticed that the radio wasn't working. Just streaming. I pulled over and preformed a soft reboot and everything came back on. I noticed later that they pulled the cords on the wireless charging pad and my usb hub (with my sd card adapter) So it may work without your usb hard drive plugged in.

I find that I always need to do a soft reboot after each software update.

I did not unplug the wireless charger. I can try that next. Thanks for the info!

FYI, it's no problem rebooting the screen while driving.

I have 20.44.10.1 and I was listening to FM Radio yesterday.

Same problem here. Just picked up the y. Radio stopped working and can't even find it now that I've upgraded to 40.8

Tried rebooting but will check the settings. Streaming is working well though, I like it.

FWIW: I rebooted and got the 2020.44.10.1 update. Once installed the radio reappeared.
