Foam..

what do you mean flow? Just dont want to spend $150 on a electric pressure washer only to not have it make the thick foam.

I’m willing to bet N54TT’s Kranzle makes thicker foam than my setup. How thick is thick enough?

Honestly if you have no other use for a pressure washer, I’d skip it. Many ways to skin this cat and get good results and much of it simply depends on what you prefer as a routine and what you’re willing to do often. I did 2 bucket and meticulous claying/polishing for a long time but found I only got motivated to do it once every 3-4 months or so and car was dirty much of the time. In contrast, once yearly ceramic and twice monthly foam washes feels easier and keeps the car squeaky clean all the time.

Been using my hose and an attachment, pressure washer would come in handy but my motivation is to not have to spend 45 minutes with a sponge wiping my car clean to death lol. Which pressure washer do you use?

Then ceramic is your friend. Even foam and pressure washer doesn’t get the grime off without wiping with sponge/mitt/towel. The ceramic coating is the key if you don’t want to deal with the grime manually...

This!
Foam is mostly for show. Pre-rinsing and/or pre-spraying with OCNR will achieve better results in less time, with less effort, for less money.
I thought the idea of foam was so that it
Great point thanks!
I jut have the sunjoe too, had to buy an extra length of hose to make it more usable. Works great. Found all sorts of uses for it around the house too. Add some brass QD's and it makes using it allot easier. Also great for cleaning rubber floormats, cleaning wood on my trailer before re-sealing, cleaning my RzR and other vehicles, cleaning my larger camper etc. Saves allot of water for washing the car so I end up with less mud around the house too.

The nice thing about foam is that it helps the soap to stick on the vehicle which reduces water spots while your cleaning the car.

Not listed, buckets with grit guards (not sure how much they are really needed when using a power washer, but the dual rinse buckets still keep the mitt cleaner I think.

I had used ONR on my 90D before moving to my 100D before switching to a pressure washer snow foam system It worked fine. Just too much wiping. Introducing the opportunity for microscraches.
For anyone using ONR, I recommend that you do not use the highly touted to bucket method (one for solution and one four-inch water)
Simply make sure that you have enough microfiber towels to do the entire job sucked in the bucket solution bucket. Use each one for a very minimal section of cleaning. No more than one panel. Then just toss that one into an empty bucket to be laundered later. Never rinse or wring out to reuse on another section. This will reduce the chances of introducing particles that will scratch your vehicle. And all that is really required is the purchase of some additional microfiber towels

Speaking of the foam cannon/pressure washer, does anyone use a blower to dry their car?

I've seen the Master Blaster but not sure why my electric lawn blower wouldnt work just as good. Seems a nice method to reduce touchpoint as well. Especially on my black 3.

Also, any feedback on this pressure washer? I don't know crap about them but this one is on sale or is this overkill for simply washing cars. I won't use it for anything else really. :)

When I have my blower handy (a cordless Milwaukee), I do use it to blow a lot of the water off. Just like a carwash blower, if you want to get every drop of water off to completely avoid water spots you’ll still need to towel a bit, but it reduces much of the drying process.

I used to use a lawn type blower. Using the Master Blaster with a 30’ hose & a soft rubber tip makes all the difference allowing me to hold it close to the car. Not a safe option with a hand held blower. Options that aren’t 8hp requiring a 20a circuit are available.
Check out the Big Boi from Esoteric.
(Only needs 10-15 amp circuit)
