Foot launched sail plane

Wow! Cool. Not sure what the advantage is over a hang-glider, though. And a hang-glider is cheaper and easier to transport. I did a tandem hang-glide once. We foot-launched from the top of a small mountain outside of Queenstown, NZ. It was "Walk three steps, then run," and we were in the air before we'd taken more than about three running steps. And once in Canada I watched as a guy launched a para-glider from the top of Idaho Peak Lookout. He laid the parachute out behind him, waited for the right moment, then yanked on the cords and shot straight up without ever taking a step. In a few minutes he was out of sight.

And I thought an "archaeopterix" is supposed to fly by flapping its wings. I think they've mis-named this foot glider.

Edit: Oops. I was thinking of an ornithopter, which is a plane with flapping wings.
