This is an awesome, fun-to-drive, fully electric car built by Toyota using a Tesla drivetrain and battery system (same motor and battery as early Model S's.) It has a standard, widely-available “J1772” charging port for charging at home and at the many available public charging stations. It also has an aftermarket “fast charging” CHAdeMO-compatible port (a $2999 add-on called “JdeMO”), which is capable of charging to 80% from near empty in about 40 minutes or so. With a normal charge, you’ll get about 100 miles and with an “extended” full charge you get an additional 10-20 miles.
