Great price. You’re in the middle of a saturated area though. You’re going to need to advertise to a wide audience to get what your car is worth. A quick sale would require dropping the price below kbb.com recommended used value though.

I much prefer buying a well cared for provate sale car than a used Tesla through tesla with unknown history or character of the previous owner.

This. I would disagree with this back when Tesla used to actually refurbish their CPO. Now it's a crap shoot trying to buy their used car based on stock or low res images provided by them. If they ever send pictures before someone else buys the car.

Beautiful S85. Did you pay to add AP after original purchase? I didn’t see AP on the window sticker.
no I'm just promoting fair market pricing of sold cars here. If you think its a fair price (when CPOs go in low 40s), go ahead buy it.

Some CPOs are priced much lower than others. The CPO site doesn't have details, so I suspect there are other issues like the body / interior condition, tires, etc. If Tesla sells a not-great condition car for 38k then it may not be a good comparison. The CPO listings show some models with similar miles / features for $44-48k, so I think I'm in the right range.

You guys might be from outside of California, here in California there are much more used Teslas on the roads and people who want to get rid of their used Teslas than people who want used Tesla and got 40+ grand to spent on it. Its buyer's market, OP basically wants to find a good soul who will relief him from his junk and eat up depreciation. Fair price would be whatever Tesla/CarMax/local Toyota dealer gives for trading it in + couple grands.

Thanks! Any suggestions on where else to advertise? It's currently here, Autotrader, and Craigslist.

CANCEL PURCHASE INQUIRY - purchased 2015 S85 today from a very pleasant, mellow used car business in Roseville, CA: "Carquisite". They also have a white 2012 Signature P85 in great condition.
Whew! - Weeks of research has come to fruition - but now have more focused research to do!

Check Carvana and OnlyUsedTeslas. With AP1 your price of $43k is right on for the rest of the country. In the SF Bay Area it’s a challenging market because there are people willing to sell their car fast for a few K less in that area.

Good luck!
