couldn't fully latch the hood last night. reached out to support who told me to check for snapped cables.
sure enough, metal cable that pulls the hood to latch snapped.
waiting for next steps from support

they sent me replacement latch motor. swapped it in 20 mins. all good.
as for the code, it looks like they sell for $399 w/o a code, which is less than I paid WITH a code.
