For those who have bought or sold their pre-owned Model S, how did you transfer your MyTesla account to the new owner?

I'm thinking of selling my Model S, but I don't want to give away MyTesla account and password just to sell the car as I want to use it for my Model 3.

Let me know if you guys ended up having to give your MyTesla account and password or not.

When you sell your Model S you email Tesla the information. Within a day or two they will transfer it to the new owners account. Very simple. I bought our second one from a private party.

And sometimes, the old car stays on your phone until you logoff.
