Interesting perspective, but as always it would be more helpful and credible if they pointed out ALL subsidies involved in the competitive equation, not just the ones on newer products that actually have benefits to American citizens.
That would make it more of a compliment to Tesla's plan and less of a slap at EV subsidies (which have a sunset date) that were put in place specifically to counteract the unmentioned petroleum subsidies (which never expire).
