I am trying to better understand forced technology transfers, something tesla could be subject to. I can read some simple articles online about how companies can be forced to pair up with a local firm which could then reveal inside secrets and technology. Tesla does not seem subject to this but will have the local workforce.

can anyone provide a concrete example of forced technology transfer and describe the end effect?
Like, Apple seems to still be doing pretty well?
Is there a way to quantify the damage that could be done?
Can't a firm just reverse engineer the car, perhaps even using data from Munro?

    Thanks
