Just found this on Worldcarfans web site. Ford made the request on December 3rd

In the US I think Tesla has been awarded the trademark Model E and Model Y.
The article says "with the United States Patent and Trademark Office". So if Tesla already have model E then there should be a quick answer of NO. :wink:

Sorry about that. It was a gut reaction. Ford knows what Tesla is doing and trying to interrupt Tesla's progress with silly stunts like this as opposed to generating real value for their customers just torques me off.
Apparently Ford had a Model S back in 1907.
