Looks like the layoffs are starting at Ford as they transition to an EV company. 3,000 people will let go this week. This is the first wave of up to 8,000 layoffs.

Good. These overly bloated companies will have to get used to going lean if they're going to survive. I wonder what they're going to do about the unions...
With California (and the 14 or so states that follow California's emission lead) phasing out ICE sales, I think a lot of companies will be changing operations.
I don't know I would have gone as far as outlawing ICE vehicles, but... Hey, I live in a state that doesn't sell lotto tickets, so I have to go to a nearby state to buy. Same is done for weed. Eh... It's more of a nudge than an outright hindrance like you're saying.
How far away are we from electric Ambulances and fully electric Firetrucks not the hybrid version? What about electric tow trucks the large boom semi ones. The kind of Tow Trucks that are on the show Highway through Hell. How big would a battery pack have to be for OTR Semis with sleepers?
