Because they were Mazda’s or because they were damaged?That aerial photo of the cars and ship reminds me of the MV Cougar Ace that was shipping about 5000 Mazda vehicles before it lost stability in the Northern Pacific or Bering Sea and had to be tugged in. Most of the Mazdas were fine but ended up having salvage titles.

Interesting, the tonnage is 9% smaller than the Glovis ships. Someone said 2000 cars on the first glovis, but it would not make sense to load halfway. Weight isn’t that much different vs a Mazda.
I think shipping to pier 80 is easier and faster. The pier has a new boat every few days, but we don’t know if they’re taking full boats or sharing with other mfrs.Either they produce less or they ship faster, but I don't see the lot full anymore
