If the car has over 200 miles and the EAP icon doesn't show up does that mean I dont have it or should I just try to activate it.
Have you turned it on in the settings? If you try to activate AP it will tell you if it isn't calibrated yet.

Ok let me try to turn it on after work then. Hopefully it should work. Actually i thought I had 200 miles but i only have 150. Should it work at 150 miles or should I wait til 200.
One month and I do believe they have every right to turn off an optional feature for which I didn't pay. Its actually my wife's car - don't know if it is still working.Really? How long did that take them to find out?
And have they disabled it? Wondering if they can’t. And it’s just a empty threat.
YesTesla is referring to the as-configured 5k price vs the after-purchase 6k price. Nothing shady there. OP can either pay the 5k to keep it, or they will disable it and it will cost the standard 6k to activate later.
Yeah I looked in settings - >auto pilot and I don't see a feature to turn off or on. Did I miss something? It can start working anytime after ~20 miles depending on the roads you drive on, etc. But you have to have enabled it in the settings.
Check that your car is configured for it. Go to Tesla.Com and check out your account and your car. Should look like this:

I suspect there is a population of owners who don't want to speak up in fear of having the "free" service taken away from them.
So the real question is this.....has anyone had the "free" EAP service actually taken away from them once they were notified by Tesla of their mistake?
I agree this is false because someone posted on here last week or so saying it was "on" and the delivery specialist caught that it was "on" during the demo/intro and turned it off because it wasn't paid for. What happens is ALL the cars have it on BY DEFAULT and it has to be turned OFF, and I am going to assume the delivery center has that job. I think they just miss it, and I am hoping they miss it on mine tooThat is false, there are plenty of people that didn't order EAP, and didn't get it. And regular cruise control works for them.
During deliever Day it was very busy. I waited like 1hour and 45 minutes instead of 1 hour like most people there. They were scrambling to find my car and it was not cleaned very well. I'm guessing they didn't program it to not have EAP as the employees seemed a little stressed. I was worried that there was a mistake or a panel error. The only thing i found was some trim an employee managed to push in correctly. My car is near perfect.
In fact i drove the whole way home and used cruise control. I only discovered EAP after fooling around with the cowbell thing to see how it would work....and viloa! EAP!
If it goes away, so be it. I enjoy driving my car. Although EAP is certainly WOWing everyone i've given rides too.
Yes. Buy FSD now will allow you to upgrade the AP computer to 3.0 later for free. That leaves me wondering, is full self driving (FSD at 3k) also a software enabled / disable too?
