With Tesla, you can never predict! Tesla brings back free Supercharging to inventory cars and Model 3 to help sell cars in end of quarter rush Who is triggering today?
So this gets very grayish how Tesla will cut the FUSC. Sure, we may hear some complaints from current owners for missing out. Will it say all Tesla 3 RWD and AWD get FUSC? Or starting from today?
We will hear what Tesla will say about this. There is a possibility all the current RWD ordered may get FUSC for 1 year. Similar stuffs happened in Model S and X before fyi. If this happens, we will see a lot of Roadtrips by Model 3, or worse, we may also see frequent local charging by some.
So what about those of us who have delivery in the next week? Do we get the 1Y or do we need a referral code? If the latter, can it be added to our account prior to delivery?
Yep. So much of Elon's "Not coming back" tweet. It got extended until 18th. It only lasted 3 days. LOL
For those of us already with cars, let's put this in perspective. First of all, many of us already have the unlimited internet connectivity. Second, just as an example, on my last roadtrip, roughly 1500 miles of driving cost me $77. This may excite some people and motivate them to finally get a car, but those of us who missed out can rest easy.
Yes, I used to think Free Unlimited Supercharging is worth more than Free Unlimited LTE Internet Connectivity. I found out it is not always the case. For many who do not take roadtrip or do not use supercharge due to solar panel/roof, actually having the LTE connectivity may outweigh the yearly benefit. Of course, having both LTE and FUSC is better but that will be minority out of all Model 3 orders.
When Elon said FUSC was not coming back I was asking if it was not coming back as in really not coming back. Like pinkie swear level not coming back. Or was it not coming back as in “funding secured” not coming back? Case appears to be the latter.
Would be nice to have a free year of supercharging for line waiters and early deliveries. I also did not get a diecast as I waited for AWD. Not a big deal but would be nice to reward early adopters.
