Free Supercharging is currently enabled

Just noticed this on my account. I had 6 months of free Supercharging when I bought my Model 3 in 2018. Not sure why this now being shown on my account all of a sudden.

Hmm.. the only time I remember free Supercharging being handed out is when Tesla enabled it for people in a hurricane's path. As your location indicates SLO, are you near one of California's current wildfires?

People up here in Santa Cruz / San Mateo / Contra Costa counties probably should have also be given this if that's the case.

I'm in Georgia and I have been showing the same thing for many weeks... It says until mid 2022... A buddy of mine with a newer 3 does not show it...

I think due to Covid, free charging was extended. I had some free charging left and tit was extended to April of 2021.

Note that the OP reports getting free Supercharging two years ago for 6 months. COVID would not be the reason now.

Well, my expire date changed. I had 9,000 kms and used much of it crossing the continent in December 2019. Figured I would loose it.
Now I have 1036 kms free left and now good to April 24, 2021.

No other auto manufacture gives out free fuel during a crisis. Just another reason why Tesla is so great!

I guess Tesla selectively extended free super charging. Mine were not extended, at least not extended into 2021! My purchased date was 12/2019.

What is this free supercharging? Took delivery September 7th, 2018, after waiting in line March 31st 2016. Never saw it, well twice the SC in Darien CT did not charge me.... I kept quiet about that, I think I owe Elon two dollars or something. Keep looking back over my shoulder for paperboys on bikes.

I used a Supercharger today, it was almost $10 and I'm not seeing a charge to my card, so I guess it's true that Tesla is giving out free Supercharging in my area because of the fires, even though the closest fire is over 2 hours away. Thank you Tesla!

When I would randomly get a free Supercharger session, the normal cost would be on the bottom of the screen and then magically change to $0.00 as I left the station. The sessions are listed on my Tesla account (under History).

Well, it looks like the only reason my account wasn't charged is because I hadn't changed the expiration date to my updated card. I got an email from Tesla saying I owed them for today's Supercharge. All I can say is just wow! Apparently I don't get free Supercharging for my area, even though the details on my account for the car says "Free Supercharging is Currently Available". Anyone here know why my account shows that then?

It must be a glitch, I have the same display on my account. My area is near the fires and I was charged at the Supercharger today.
