Having root access is a prerequisite.

I see 3 ways:
- Someone on this forum might be able to help out.
- Tesla Service technicians and third party service providers with Toolbox access should also be able to provide it.
- There are also rumours that Tesla is considering to give root access to people requesting it, officially (probably with some disclaimers).

I’m sure plenty of people would love to try FreedomEV on their cars, including myself. A step by step guide on how to root the car would be greatly appreciated!

I cant install this since it breezes right by the option to allow it to install on DAS3. thoughts?

I am looking for help to get root on my Tesla S 100D 2017 AP2.0 MCU1 (with firmware v10.1).
I have linux deep knowledge and I am ok to do holes in my car. Just need guidance.
