Front cables in wheel wheels click noise

Sunday morning as I was pulling out of my driveway I heard a slight clicking sound, over the week the sound got louder and louder, I noticed the sound went away when my suspensions was high. Anyways today I decided to peak in the wheel well and found these two loose cables one at the front left and front right. I found hooks for them around the rubber baskets attached to each and clipped them in.

the sound seems to be gone, should I still take this in for service, is this common?

i do remember putting the suspension in high as I parked on a sidewalk Saturday evening. Maybe that caused it?

I would take it in. Is that a frayed wire in your second picture? Kind of blurry.

Does the clicking sound only happen when you accelerate from a stop? I've been noticing that lately.

it was mostly at slow speeds that I could really hear it. Once I put the cables back the noise stopped.
