Front camera failure on S 85D

I own a model S 85D. Just about 100K km built December 2015. MCU1, HW1.

Since 10 days, I have been having this message telling me autopilot is deactivated and will be reactivated on next drive. When I drive I do not see the cars around me in the display behind the steering wheel. My auto-headlight is not working as well, Tried to reboot both computers, also did hard reset by changing the wheel config, no effect.

I have assumed that the front camera is faulty. Is there any thing to try, any procedure to reset the camara, or diagnose what is the problem?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

I had the same problem and after replacing all the cameras and coax wires a senior tech suggested we remove all metal and magnetic items from the glove compartment. Apparently a chip is located just behind the glove compartment in our model…Anyway, did that about a week ago and we have not had any camera issues since. Keeping our fingers crossed 😁
