looking to buy a used Model S, interested in one but has front axle boots broken open, leaking and one is making noise. ARE FRONT CV/AXLES AS ISSUE ???
There is a known issue with the clevis mount for the drive unit and its impact on the half shafts: Do you have shudder on hard acceleration? AKA death rattle? Check if the car shudders under acceleration as well. Regardless, it sounds like that car needs some attention.
