Front wheels hopping/skipping when turning full lock

I'm experiencing a strange effect on the front wheels of my Model X 90D when I move it with the steering on full lock and sometimes just turning 90 degrees. I get a sort of hopping/wobbling/skipping sensation from the front wheels.
It happens on any road surface in any weather conditions!!

If any one of you guys had same issue please tell me what that can be.

Thank you

Hi All,

There is a service bulletin that tests the upper universal joint in the steering column.

From memory: On a flat, open, level area turn the steering wheel lock to lock
4 times with the car parked. If there is crunching or other noise the upper
universal joint in the steering column needs to be replaced.

This failure was more prevalent in areas with heavy snow, ice, road salt, or wet gravel driving.
The new universal joint is sealed to keep the debris out of the universal joint...

Good luck,

Shawn

PS - There may be a thread about it here on TMC.
