    Beautiful abstract art. However, I wonder if the patterns follow the immediately previous wiping and polishing tracks. If so, could they be predictive of future swirls and scratches?

    What, me wipe and polish?? Pushing off snow and ice with a floor broom is mostly linear motion. I think this is crystal growth pattern. Those drops you see are frozen solid. Once the sun hits it = game over.
