Frunk closing crappiness

I feel like an idiot when closing my frunk on brand new 2019 MX. no strategy seems to work first time. Gentle push, hard slam or the like, without fail takes a repeating motion that I’m sure looks like I’m enjoying myself a little too much from afar.
This a common thing a simple adjustment fixes?

I push with both hands on green zone - then wipe palm prints quickly so no one see me OCD.

I changed the struts and the tension spring - can close it now with one hand. Before it was a constant battle.
