Frunk Issue Not sure if its software related..

So I am on 2018.50


I noticed sometime when I open the Frunk. I hear it unlock and can see the front hood pop up but when I try to lift it something is still holding and only way I can get it to open is close it by pressing on it and open from the app or the screen again .. and then it works.. I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue ?


Again this does NOT happen all the time but it does happen.. It has already happen to me 3 times now .. Within 2 weeks..

Never had that happen and it kinda seems like a sticky latch if you are hearing an audible noise but it doesn't open, probably not software but curious if anyone else has noticed it.

Yes. I do hear a Audible noise and see the frunk come up.. But just can't open it.. If it keeps happening I guess I will take it to service. I was just wondering if anyone else having similar issue. Thank You!

Your second actuator is bad.

I had to replace my frunk latches. Vin 16k. An issue on first production

I have the 99k vin .. got delivery back in sept.

I’ve got the same problem. Pretty common apparently.

If you leave it in the open position too long it'll "lock" itself back up.
