I have a 2018 Model X 100D. Luckily I got the extended warranty but just 2 years into ownership I noticed recently that my frunk was jammed and wouldn't open. First time I took it to the SC they charged me to grease it which didn't fix the problem. Upon closer inspection I noticed rust on the hinge which was addressed by applying WD-40 on my second SC appointment. The problem still hasn't disappeared and the frunk jams occasionally.
I have seen this on the 3rd class model Y and 3 but don't expect to see this on the 1st class model X/S.
Tesla was an exotic car brand like Porsche and Lamborghini. But now I'm disappointed to see them bend into pressure to appease peasants like Mercedes did by offering cheap 4matic Chinese quality cars and not sticking to the AMG superior quality platform.
I used to feel proud wearing the Tesla name but not anymore when I see any Bill, Joe or Harry driving around in one.
Nevertheless my next vehicles will have to be the Tesla Roadster and CT since there is nothing better out there. 20200719_183045.jpg 20200719_183120.jpg

Where I live Tesla’s are very common. I think the days of Tesla snob appeal are over. Not an issue for me as I don’t care what others think of my car.

    ... spot on.

"My car sucks now because other people have one."

Sounds so ridiculous. That elitist attitude explains why the SC won't help the OP either. They can smell a-holery from a mile away.

    The Peasant.

Thanks. I'll ask for a replacement if the issue persists.
