Frunk LED Light Strip for Model 3 or Y

I think we can finally put a "problem solved" on this thread. I installed the Hansshow frunk lights that have the relay inline. They work without an issue and the button still is active! Finally! If you have a power frunk, you need a relay. End of story.

Good stuff

Maybe I will find half an hour or so to do it this weekend

And maybe recheck all the frunk wiring and the control
Module while I’m at it

More fun side project but for everyone's info here.

Same 15.5v extension from cigarette socket as source. 4 different LEDs. Look at the mA of each. A small 2-sided T10 at 0.72mA. Old style multi-side T10 at 1.51mA. Eagle-eye DRL at 2.14mA. Waterproof 10cm COB LED bar at 9.37mA.

This is why some lights work some don't, if you're trying to draw power through the frunk button without using a relay and through another power source.

In case you want to know my side project.... 2022 RWD Footwell door pocket light mod?

B.t.w. I made a mistake in my last post - the Eagle-eye DRL was drawing 1.51mA not 2.14mA. :)
