Frunk Water Intrusion

Looking for anyone that has had a frunk seal issue with the model S. The hood is level on the sides. When you look from the front, the hood looks like it’s still open. The result is water gets into the frunk. The service center said they replaced the seal, however it’s still happening.

A few options they provided
1) Adjust the hood position. This will change how the hood sits level with the side panels, but possible close the gap in the front.
2) Do nothing and live with it
3) Try another seal, but probably won’t work either.

What works well if you don’t want to replace your seal and the hood alignment is good is cut a slice in the hood seal and put some

3/8-inch x 20-ft. Gap & Joint Filler Backer Rod Grey

this will help fill the gap between the hood and seal.

The seal is pretty long so use some twisted lock wire or cable puller to start off with and pull the filler back through.

Seal your slice with some black silicone and let set for 24hrs to cure.
