I don't understand. Why wasn't he nice? He is trying to sell a set of wheels/tires and you
asked to buy just one. Obviously it would be much more difficult to sell a "set" of 3 if he sold you one.
I would have done the same.

This tire/rim combo will not fit a Model 3. The rim might (I haven’t looked into it) but would need a smaller profile tore to fit. These tires we have on Model Y are much too big to fit the wheel wells of the 3.

Yup. The max diameter that will fit on the front of the Model 3 is 27.5", anything bigger hits the upper steering knuckle. The MY wheel and tire package is 28.0" diameter.

After getting a flat today, getting stuck on side of freeway with 106 degrees outside, I will be happy to buy 4 and sell rest to anyone I can convince to carry a spare. Have to spend the night in Bakersfield hotel while waiting for SC to open tomorrow. Thank god for Netflix and now broken air compressor that helped me limp to supercharger. If you plan to use the car for road trips, you need a god damn spare.
