I think he wants this forum to give him ideas on what he should charge. Most eight-year-old cars go for less than half the original price, and this has 160,000 miles on it, then an "engine swap" and now 40K miles on the new "engine". I'd bet there are issues, but some may just be old age. Tesla warranted the battery for 8 years, and that's ended, so I'd guess it's worth maybe $30,000 or so, maybe less. I mean, what would you pay for an eight-year-old Mercedes that had gotten an engine replacement 40,000 miles ago? The car is old and I don't know what the warranty is on the battery. The guy obviously doesn't want to lose money, though he was the one to use it all this time, so he hopes someone will be happy to pay him for being the first owner.

The long list of features don't mean a whole lot unless they are things a particular buyer would want.

No issues. Original owner. Incredible shape for the mileage and latest T revision drive unit. Just want to sell 2 teslas to upgrade. I drive my plaid and don’t drive this anymore. Still under battery and drivetrain warranty until Jan 2023.

Sorry but very not comparable at all to a merc with the same mileage thanks for the lol

KBB private party value in very good condition at the low end is $22K. In good condition, the average value is $22K. I would pay that for your vehicle. No idea where your head is at regarding price since you didn't list one but I think $22K is fair based on my very limited research and what has been posted so far. Cash buyer, can pick up in person at your convenience.

Value is so hard to determine and you cannot/should not use KBB to determine any kind of pricing. The best way to determine a fair value is to find out what comparables are selling for in your area because price varies greatly by state and market. Disregard all the BS low ballers out there and ask what you feel is a good price that you will be happy with but try to balance that amount with reality. I have to examples for you:

1: I sold a 2013 model S 60 RWD (75kwh pack installed by Tesla in 2017). No sunroof, no uhfs, no sub zero. Base model for sure with 150,000 miles on it. Drive unit replaced by Tesla in 2016. I sold it for 26k cash in less than 24hrs in April 2021.

2. My 2015 P90DL purchased in June 2021 for $52k with 72,000 miles direct from Tesla. It was totaled when someone decided to tbone me on march 27, 2022. I received $89,000 from the insurance company for just the vehicle. They used sales data for comparables but also take into account the rarity.

My point is that it’s so hard to determine an actual value that you have to take into account so many variables especially with the way todays used car market is so upside down.

I say $45k would be a fair price so asking for 50 leaves room for negotiation. GLWS

Holy moly!! That makes me wonder what my 2014 P85D, now upgraded to a P100DL with 60k miles would be worth to an insurance company.

Well I don’t recommend getting Tboned to find out. As long as the insurance company or appraiser knows what they are doing they will come up with an accurate fair market value. Whether or not people on the internet or on this forum or others agree with it has no bearing and doesn’t actually matter because as you know something is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Your car is pretty rare so the value would be higher.

Oregon Mutual

I provided the original monroney sticker ($142,000 new) showing all options and receipts for Mcu upgrade. I countered all the comparables that were not similiar. They wanted to use non performance 85d model s with less options. I always advise people to reject first and second offers from insurance companies when trying to settle an insurance claim. I’m no attorney and have no training in any legal capacity but I do know for a fact insurance companies are not your friend and they always always always try to low ball payouts as they are a business at the end of the day. The database for comparables they use (CCC and Mitchell) are notoriously wrong when it comes to options and features. Always do your own homework or hire a third party appraiser like petty details who will get the most money for your vehicle from them.
