I installed this trunk mat when I took delivery so it's been in the car for about 10 months. The mat has only seen the most pristine Whole Foods paper bags placed on top of it. Nothing ever dirty, smelly or hairy has been lugged in the trunk. Selling this since I just bought the newly redesigned all-weather trunk mat.
