At this point I will keep it does not make sense to sell it. It's not like I need the money.

I took a loss as well when I sold my model X to Tesla and had just replaced all four tires. I’m also not in any rush and totally understand. DM me if your situation changes .

I agree with you, keep the vehicle. I have a model 3P I was going to sell but with the over night loss in equity - I’ll just keep it.

Curious to see how this plays out with dealer inventory. Quite a few dealers still have 2022 MYP with low miles in the high 60s low 70s. They’re in for a rude awakening.

I’m looking for one priced less than new for my son. Was the car a Demo car when you bought it? I see it went in service in June but you said you bought it in September. Warranty starts when the car starts being used whether for a demo or new sale whichever is first. The high miles lowers the resale value quite a bit when there are brand new 2023 Performance Y’s with new warranty and no miles available immediately. I know you said you bought new tires but unfortunately new tires don’t add value when compared to a new one that has them.

I looked at a few ‘22’s at dealers and many dealers are not even aware yet or pretend not to be aware that the new ones are cheaper. The late model inventory at dealers will take a hit when more people realize their inventory is priced too high. 2022’s will take the hardest hit because first year depreciation is the highest percent of value but their depreciation will now be off the new lower price book number. Older cars will see some but the percentages will be much smaller because they have already seen quite a bit of depreciation.
