The 12c lead acid aux battery in my wifes 2016 X is in need of replacement. I know that the new "refreshed" model X's being shipped out / sold now are using a 12 Li aux battery. Does anyone by chance know the part# for this? I don't want to replace the old with another lead, going oem Li is way better. Thanks Ray

It requires a communication wire that your older X doesn't have. You're better off going with aftermarket LiFePO4.

Correct. I tried the 12 volt lithium-ion battery in my 2017 X and could never get the "replace 12 volt battery" warning to clear on the dash. Could not get any software updates either while that warning is being displayed. I ended up putting a lead acid battery back in as it came from the factory that way.

I personally wouldn't put a LiFePO4 in the older cars. The only ones out there are not treated well by the car. You can buy the AtlasBX battery and replace it yourself, it's not an awful job. The easiest/quickest is just to have Tesla mobile do it, and given the high price of the correct battery it's not a bad price for the overall job.
