FS: Red Tesla Model 3 LR RW w/ Autopilot and signature wall charger

I am selling my 2018 multi-coat Red Tesla Model 3 Long-Range Rear-Drive with Autopilot. It has served me well, but I don't drive enough to justify keeping it when money can go elsewhere.

Comes with these:
* Signature-edition wall charger, new-in-box.
* Pre-order only red Model 3 Hot Wheels.
* Model 3 specific windshield and side windows covers.
* 3D MAXpider front and rear floor mats (with originals as well).
* 120/240 mini charger.
* Emergency tire kit.

Care:
Been in for service twice. Once for break caliper clips, and once for the frunk not opening. Both were common issues fixed in under an hour.

I work from home, so not many miles on it. Took it for one trip to Cincinnati, and twice to Morgantown, WV. Apart from that, I only charge at home, and typically to 80%. No hard accelerations. Some rim rash, some minor scuffs on plastics, but no scrapes or dings on the paint.

Sale:
I have a loan through Wells Fargo Auto. For the protection of both seller and buyer, I would want to use an escrow-service for the actual payment.

Just to make sure it's clear, this has base Autopilot only (no EAP and/or FSD), it's from 2018 with 10k miles, it's RWD and you're asking $43k ?

How much would something like this cost new now?

New you would have to go with dual motor, it is faster but RWD is more efficient. It is 48k base, 2k for red, 1200 for dealer fee and cant get EAP anymore but I'd say worth about 3k since for 3k more you can upgrade EAP to FSD. Charger is 500, mats 300. That's about 55k for all this stuff new.

It is Enhanced Auto Pilot, up to and including Navigate on Autopilot, but does not have Full Self Driving. It has a long range battery and rear-wheel drive, which is no longer a configuration they offer. Price for the configuration when I bought it a year ago was $56,000. My asking price is effectively the remainder on the loan + overhead for escrow and listing costs.

I suppose I could sell the wall charger separately and drop $500 off the price.

2018 purchase was eligible for the full federal tax credit of $7,500 which isn't taken into consideration for "true cost". (Now it's $1875).
Isn't the LR RWD still available as an "off-menu" configuration?

I am 100% a buyer but the price has to be under $40k otherwise I could just buy a brand new 2019 or 2020 Dual Motor for a few thousand more. I am in NY so in addition to $1875 tax credit, NY state kicks in another $2k instant rebate.
Not trying to be a pain in the ass but I would have to save a fair amount over a new 2019+ dual motor in order for it to make sense.
Auto pilot, enhanced auto pilot, FSD and color doesnt add or deduct value to me as I like to drive the car myself and I am not very picky about the color.

Indeed, to each their own. From what I gather looking at used Model 3 sales, I'm priced a hair below the going rate, and that's without the extras. Certain state incentives will certainly tip the balance one way or another with regards to used vs. new.

Nice car, but I agree with the other poster that at below $40K is the more reasonable price for early VINs from 2018 with older AP2.5 hardware. Also - given the RWD LRs that are low mileage and sold as used by Tesla in recent months are in a $36K-$42K range.

This is how I will fairly value it.

Model 3 AWD : $48K
Paint Upgrade: $2K
EAP Adjustment: $3K (New FSD = $6K, EAP to FSD = $3K, so EAP = $3K)
Destination Charge: $1.2K
RWD Adjustment: -$5K
Federal Tax Credit: -$1.875

Sub Total: $47.325K
Depreciation: 20% (1 year, 10K-12K miles)
Net: $37,860

I wouldn't put much stock in current used listings. The ones you see are the ones out of touch on price and there are a lot of those.

Well, it all comes down to market it seems. Certainly, on dedicated fan forums, you'll find a shrewder audience to analyze price. But in practice, prices seem to just be higher. I just sold this car to a buyer from Autotrader. With the wall charger unbundled, the agreed price came down to $41,000. You can certainly break down features, depreciation, etc to come to a conclusion, but practical market value is what people are willing to pay.

The thing is there's not too many of these for sale yet and out of those "not too many", if some of the buyers are uninformed or don't care about the price, they'll pay way more than what it should be worth, which other sellers will notice and think that those prices are ok... and it all goes downhill from there.

In this case, it is a nice car and having EAP, the buyer didn't get that bad of a deal. Still, way too close to what a new one would cost but yeah...
