Is there any pictures of Elon signing the vehicle... As a potential buyer how would one know you just didn't get that visor from another vehicle. Does the vehicle come with letter of authenticity with Vin number of vehicle attached.

I have emails before and after delivery from the executive based at Fremont who was in charge of all deliveries in the Northwest region. The Tesla Service Center manager and the DS saw the car with the Elon's signature before delivery to my home.

If your car is not worth worth "six figures", it is no where near worth that much. That is not my opinion it is a fact!. Hiring a broker and paying them a fee is not going to help you sell it for an overpriced value.

Elon's signature on a visor is not worth that much and yes your car is a first build but that doesn't not hold much value.

Your "20 year broker" should be more honest with you. As a broker he should be more responsible with his clients.

And I sure hope the contract that you signed with him does not say that you have to pay him wither or not he sells your car.
He makes a commission only for selling the car.

BTW...does anyone know who the other "handful" of SIG owners are who have "real" Signature Model S's i.e. the one's Elon signed at the factory during George B's make me smile delivery program?

You know who you are!!!!

There is one thing more rare than this car....

That is....

Someone willing to buy it

LOL....

On a serious note I understand that there might be a premium and it may increase in value someday but someday is likely a long long long way away. I have a 1995 911 Carrera coupe (the last of the real air cooled 911s) I have a R&T magazine that calls this car "the most collectible 911 ever". It will be worth 100K + someday but today it is in the 50-60K range. You can sell what the market is but no one will buy based in what "might be". Sounds like your broker has nothing to lose and is telling you what you want to hear.

that being said IF you get this price can you send me your broker's contact information. LOL

good luck

Update: Another one of the few SIGs signed at the factory for delivery was Andrew Wolfe's SIG 440
https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/206827/ Oddly he did not ask or even know it was signed until he saw it on the visor. Mistake? Easter Egg by Elon?

The Sig's signed after the fact will not be worth near as much as "the real SIGS."

I have emails before and after delivery from the executive based at Fremont who was in charge of all deliveries in the Northwest region. The Tesla Service Center manager and my DS saw the car with Elon's signature before delivery to my home. This was part of the "Tesla Personal Delivery" program by George B "We will deliver your car wherever you like: your home, your office, your friend’s house, your hotel on vacation, or anywhere else that makes you smile." https://www.tesla.com/blog/its-time-build-your-model-s

When I saw this, I called my delivery specialist and said if you want to make me smile have Elon Musk autograph my car. What good is having a "Signature" Performance Model S that is not actually signed by Elon!!!! From one of my email documents:

"I'm writing to confirm that your Signature Model S did receive a signature from Elon Musk on the sunvisor. When we spoke about at that time (November 2012), I did have it arranged to be signed by Elon via working with his assistants at the time.

I worked at the Fremont factory while managing our entire delivery team there (and the entire Northwest region at the time). During my time, we only had a small handful of "signature requests" for Elon that we executed on, yours being one. We never advertised it and shortly after this started declining it on behalf of Elon due to time restraints."

You ask in that thread if anyone knows who the other people are who have an Elon-signed car. I do know of several, but for privacy reasons shouldn't give out their names. But there are several - I'm absolutely positive because I helped facilitate a number of those signatures.

Have you looked at Founder Roadster prices compared to later Roadster prices? I think you'll find that the early cars, even the one owned by JB Straubel, haven't brought a premium. They've been priced comparably against other Roadsters with similar options/miles/battery health. If any Tesla is iconic, it's the Roadster. Without that car, there would be no Tesla.

As I wish for all selling their cars, I hope you get what you're asking. But I've been part of all those 'is it a collectible? will it be a collectible? when will it be a collectible?' discussions & I just don't think you're being realistic.

Update: To clarify, the premium for a collectible comes once it becomes a collectible, not in advance, hoping it will go up in price. There are a few Roadsters being held in anticipation of that *someday*, but none are fetching a collectible price. THAT will happen as there are less and less Roadsters on the road. There were only somewhere between 2400 & 2500 made worldwide, every week or so brings one less due to some accident. You have the large number of Model S on the road working against you, plus the fact that it was not the first vehicle Tesla made.

tl;dr: You get a collectible price once a car has become collectible. We're not there yet.
