There's no reason to stop the minor versioning of 10.x at 10.9. A past employer of mine continued incrementing their minor versions well past 200

Sure, look at those of us on AP2, stuck on 2020 firmware forever - we're at 2020.48.X now, in another five years we may well yet make it to 2020.200.X ....

Pretty much just seeing a consensus of whether people think they’ll curb the major 10 version at .9 and move to major version 11 or keep going with sub-versions of .10, .11, etc

Does it matter? If a version has a certain set of features, calling it "11.0" vs "10.9" is irrelevant. "A rose by any other name..."

Sorta since Tesla/Musk have repeatedly stated that Beta 11 will have "one Stack to rule them all". Which judging by the way 10.x phantom brakes at near highway speeds is not quite ready for prime time.

I expect them to go to v11 without the single stack. Sure Musk said it was definite but in Muskeze that only means he wishes it was, not that it will be. He may reiterate that he hopes to release the single stack before the end of the year which would mean maybe sometime next year.

You're confusing the (arbitrary) version number with the feature. And, seriously, do you still pay any real attention to what Musk says in the short term?

Actually it sounds MORE likely there will be a 10.10 since 10.9 is imminent and 11.x is all but certain to have the highway Stack "...probably next month". It is likely the Stack will be delayed some so 11.x will be late Feb or March. So we are probably looking at Beta 11.0 being at least 6 weeks or more from now.
