My 2018 Model S 100D was at the service center for an entire day having FSD installed. Frankly, I don't yet see how FSD is any different from Autopilot. Do I need to change any settings? Is there more coming?

If you only had Autopilot only which has 2 features:
1) TACC (cruise control)
2) Centering within a lane
Then yes, the FSD menu will give you more options.
Traffic Controls (lights/stop sign automatic stopping) is the latest feature so far.
The next will be City Navigation on Autopilot (Right now it's only for Freeway, not city).
