FSD upgrade on Refresh Model S LR

I took delivery on my Refresh S LR last month, and I love it. I configured it without the $10k FSD option, but I see that the option is still available to add in my Tesla account page. I thought I'd enable the subscription to see if I like the features after all, but does anyone know, if I purchase the one-month subscription, do I lose the option to upgrade the car permanently for $10k?
