On my to Miami I spotted this supercharger well into contruction phase. There are six stalls located on the southside of the station
Looks very similar to the Turkey Lake Plaza installation. Of course I guess we should expect the turnpike to standardize. Thanks for the pictures!
Sweet! They keep popping up!! Great find, and thanks for the pictures!!! Fort Drum Service Plaza 184 Florida's Turnpike Okeechobee, FL 34972 Fort Drum Service Plaza - Google Maps
Several stealth bubbles popped this weekend - so exciting! I'm inspired to start looking for Stealth Superchargers east of Houston on I-10. Looking harder, I mean.
Okeechobee has been on the "coming soon" map for a while - glad to finally see an associated address !!
Yes. I drove by on my way down from Atlanta heading to Miami. They had to test vehicle there making sure everything was working. I was told it was going to be a matter of days. Cannot post pictures because posting from my iPhone.
This one is really exciting for those of us who live *in* South Florida, because we can go to the panhandle or to Disney/Universal without having to drive on I-95 (shudder) at all. Turnpike the whole way!

Can someone confirm that it's open? Although live on tesla map, when I drove by there on mondaybthey had not even covered the generators. Driving back to Atlanta on Saturday so planning on skipping port st Lucke if so. Thanks in advance.
This is the first site I've noticed that the charging pedestals appear to be HALFWAY out. They're not behind the curb (car backs in) or out at the end of the parking spots (car noses in), rather halfway down, in between. I guess this could support some parking flexibility. But I could be misreading the photos.
Looks like a conventional head-in Supercharger installation to me. The pedestal will be near the charge port on the driver's side when you pull in.
I'm travelling from Weston FL to Leesburg FL tomorrow. I have heard of issues with the Ft Drum supercharger. Do you guys suggest I try to skip it? Maybe stop at Port St Lucie instead of try to Hypermile it all the way up to Turkey Lake?
My only experience at Fort Drum was a 45 minute wait to charge, so I avoid it like the plague. We stop at Turkey Lake often and have only had to wait a minute to get a spot, but the chargers are sketchy part of which includes never getting billed for charging there. Turnpike desperately needs Level 3 chargers at every plaza.
