Another interesting tidbit from the article: the American and Chinese teams at the company clash culturally, going so far as the latter viewing the former as being too concerned with "the law".

I wonder which laws in particular they are referring to? (My guess: Intellectual Property...)

Although the specs on the FF are impressive, they depend on new battery technology going into production. There doesn't seem to be anything that has made it out of the lab, much less even pilot production.

And Tesla will build out the next section of the GF with the same tech, when it happens, so current claims of the better range and charging times won't matter.

Without this money, FF is now forced to cut wages and institute layoffs.

The bobcats turned feral in the Nevada desert after the site was abandoned, so they've been fending for themselves. The repurposed Pirelli plant in Hanford didn't employ them so, yes, a hard time all around for bobcats.

So, what's keeping Nick Sampson there? I can understand YT not wanting to admit defeat because the company is his baby, but what's left for Sampson?

Well, Nick Sampson (one of FF's founders and Senior VP Product Strategy) has now resigned. This is on the heels of Senior VP of Technology and Product Development Peter Savagian's resignation. In Sampson's resignation letter, he said, "the company is effectively insolvent".

I always wondered why Sampson stayed around so long with YT's shenanigans. Now that even he is gone, they're done. I don't see why anyone would want to work for them in the future. There are so many other viable EV startups now.

It's been a while since we've had any news from Faraday Future. Now it looks like YT has finally stepped down as CEO:
