Tony Seba has been researching this topic/subject/disruption for almost a decade.

Might be a reason over $600 billion being invested into plastic production by oil industry. They might be betting they need to develop new demand for their oil. Do a few internet searches to verify.

What I liked about his conclusion was that he says this disruption will be driven by economics. The implications on climate change and driver safety are profound.
