Just happen to notice that the pin for the future Queenstown Supercharger has been moved to Grasonville.
Interesting! Wondering if they wanted it back before the 50/301 split or actually have a location scoped out and not just 'plop a pin up there on the Eastern Shore'?
They have been installing them at bunch of Hiltons, so my guess is that they have an agreement with the Hilton Garden Inn.
Good to know that they may be getting closer to actually doing something with all the 'coming in 2017' installs in the bay/DC area!
Grasonville, MD Supercharger FOUND & UNDER CONSTRUCTION at new Royal Farms on Westbound US50/301 (heading towards Bay Bridge): Royal Farms, 108 Jackson Creek Rd, Grasonville, MD 21638 I told these photos earlier today on our drive back from OCMD:
Since nobody wrote that they had, I posted a link to @DaveM410 's post in the anonymous feedback at Supercharge.info. Maybe @BlueShift will add it soon.
All, if/when a ribbon cutting happens, I have contacts at Royal Farms headquarters, and they may want to participate. Just an FYI.
HURRAY!!! Great location! I love a couple of the seafood restaurants about a mile down the road. Looking forward to it!
Really looking forward to this one - it'll make the drive down the eastern shore to DC and points south much more convenient.
Good find. Tesla sure is doing a full on Supercharger expansion blitz for the model 3. Did you notice any solar panel canopy boxes? Does it look like there will be 1 or 2 pull through chargers for Model X's towing boats? I would see this location having a lot of boats going to the ocean.
I didn't see any signs of solar equipment, at least not as of this past Sunday. As far as pull thru stalls: Yes (I think). It looked as though there was conduit run for there to be two separate stalls that were not lined up along with the others (where you would back your vehicle into the stall), but set forward, closer to the drive lane. They didn't yet have those conduits framed out to pour the concrete pad for the Supercharger units, so I could be overly optimistic...
I see the conduit now. The last spot and the boat would block the rear exit lane. Shouldn't be too much of an issue, they have a large lot.
Interesting that it is at a Royal Farms. Earlier this year (February?), I read an article that said Royal Farms had made a corporate decision to have EV charging at all of its locations. Wonder if this is evidence of that decision?
Are there any locals that can give an update on this location? I'm looking at going to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Cordova, MD in a couple of weeks, and I'm guessing that it would be too much to hope that this SC will be open by then.
Not going by to happen by Aug 4th. I would make alternate arrangements. As of 3-days ago, all conduit was still exposed.
I'm not local, but I'll be driving past the area this weekend if my plans don't change, so I'll try to stop in and see where they are.
Drove by this afternoon, fast progress. Noticed the Stalls were already up from the highway, debris cleaned up. I’ll take pics Sunday on the return trip. Any day now.
