My wife and I have determined that our next car will quite probably be a Tesla S. However, this is just from reading, studying and hearing word of mouth. If you lived in Utah and wanted to take a Tesla S for a test drive, where is the closest location to find one? We almost rented one the last time we were in LA, but plans fell through.

Confirm service center, not a store. In fact, I'd like to be wrong but I anticipate as big a fight as Tesla has yet seen elsewhere from our beloved car dealers.

You might do what my wife & I did recently. If you travel for some unrelated reason, and it happens to take you near a Tesla store, schedule a test drive there! We were in Buffalo last week, test drove a P85+ in Toronto! Of course, there are plenty of "unrelated reasons" to travel to Las Vegas so there's that. (personally, the first thing I always want to do when I get there is LEAVE.)

and big congrats on your decision. Denarius and others in Utah (Linux64) and elsewhere (and me) are in the "you really don't NEED to test drive" camp. Go for it. Waiting for a Model X is killing me!! ML

I was in Vegas last week for Thanksgiving, and I was able to take a ride in their "Marketing" car. You could at least get a ride.

And they confirmed the new Tesla location here will definitely be a Service Center. Think im going to apply to be a delivery specialist.

MikeL, you are probably right about the fight. Utah car dealers seem to have a lot of power in the state legislature. If you have been in Utah for a while you may remember that they tried to force all car dealers to close on Sundays. That, surprisingly, was stopped so they changed the law so that dealers have to be closed one day a week. Since buyers like to visit multiple dealers they all close on, surprise surprise, Sunday.
I was in Las Vegas a couple of months ago, but the store wasn't open yet.
