Gaining miles after charging without driving

My last few charges at home have been interesting, I usually charge to 180 miles and start charging around 1am and complete by 3 or 4am depending on how many miles I need. So this morning I came out to the car around 7am and it showed 176. Went out the the car around 11 to leave and put it in reverse and the miles went to 180. Never seen this happen before the last 2 charges, normally if I drive down my hill which is 2 miles going downhill I will gain 3 or 4 miles. Is this a temperature relate issue, not sure how much the temp in the garage went up from 7 to 11, but cannot think it was much maybe a few degrees.

Because the SOC is just an estimate, the only time it is recalibrated is when you start the car. This can cause the range on the display to increase. I've only ever seen it go up by one or two miles, but I don't have any downhill runs from my normal starting locations (they are all uphill).
