Got the adapter trying to pair. will it just pair up or do we have to go into bluetooth settings to connect it? I tried wired but could not get it to work either way

It won’t “just pair up”. I believe you hold the trackpad button and option button down until it flashes. Then hold the adapter button until it flashes. They should pair together at that point.

The car itself has nothing to do with the pairing process.

so nitendo switch joy con works for the starship game but not for beach buggy. Did anyone have luck with beach buggy? some games look like you can not use a controller.

Have to admit…the Switch controllers would not be anywhere on my list for use in the car.

That's interesting about the USB adapter. I was under the impression that the refresh Model S (including Plaid) only had USB-C ports, except for the port in the glovebox for Sentry/Dashcam. Are you using the port in the glovebox for this adapter or is there a standard USB port somewhere else in the new cars? The Tesla website suggests that it has wireless controller compatibility, so maybe the adapter won't be required in the future after a software update, unless they intend to release their own proprietary wireless controller?

Would you happen to know... Do you need to order one of those for *each* controller that you want to connect, or can you connect multiple controllers to the one adapter (wirelessly, of course)?
